Wake to Tell You by Godsfame
Why Every Morning Should Begin with Gratitude to Jesus
There is something extraordinary about the morning.
Before the noise of the world begins. Before responsibilities compete for our attention. Before phones buzz with notifications and our minds become occupied with the demands of another day, there exists a sacred moment, a quiet invitation from God to meet with Him.
Morning is more than the start of another twenty-four hours. It is a testimony that God has watched over us through the night. It is proof that His mercy has spoken once again on our behalf. Every sunrise whispers the same beautiful message: “I have given you another opportunity to experience My love.”
Many people wake up thinking about work, business, family responsibilities, financial pressures, or yesterday’s disappointments. Yet, what if our first thought each morning was not our problems but our Saviour? What if our very first words were not complaints, but thanksgiving? What if the first conversation of every new day was with Jesus?
These questions gave birth to my worship song, “Wake to Tell You.”
This song is deeply personal. It is my daily confession of love to the One who has never stopped loving me. It is a reminder that before I tell the world anything, I want to wake and tell Jesus one simple truth:
“I love You.”
The opening lyrics capture the heartbeat of this message:
“In the morning, I will wake to tell You.
I love You Jesus, and I know You love me more.
Your love for me is beyond comprehension,
And my love for You is growing stronger day by day.”
Those words are not merely lyrics arranged to fit a melody. They are the testimony of a believer who has discovered that God’s love is greater than human understanding.
The Love That Always Comes First
One of the greatest realities of Christianity is that we did not love God first. He loved us first.
Before we learned to pray, He already knew our names.
Before we understood grace, He had already extended it to us.
Before we ever thought about worshipping Him, He was already protecting us, providing for us, and preparing a future for us.
The Bible tells us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. That truth changes everything. It reminds us that God’s love is not earned through perfection or performance. His love flows from His very nature.
As human beings, our love can sometimes be inconsistent. We love when life is comfortable. We praise when prayers are answered quickly. We remain faithful when everything is going well.
But God’s love is different.
His love remains when we fail.
His love remains when we doubt.
His love remains when we cannot even find the words to pray.
That is why I confidently sing,
“I know You love me more.”
There is great comfort in knowing that even on the days when our devotion feels weak, God’s love never becomes weaker.
Beyond Human Comprehension
One line in this song continues to touch my heart every time I sing it:
“Your love for me is beyond comprehension.”
Think about that for a moment.
How can the Creator of heaven and earth know every weakness, every mistake, every hidden struggle, and still choose to love us completely?
It is difficult for the human mind to understand.
The Apostle Paul prayed that believers would know “the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge.” He understood that God’s love is something we continue discovering throughout our lives.
Every answered prayer reveals another dimension of His love.
Every closed door that later proves to be protection reveals another dimension of His wisdom.
Every unexpected blessing reveals another dimension of His kindness.
Even the difficult seasons often become evidence of His faithfulness, because He never abandons His children.
When I look back over my own journey, I can honestly say that many of God’s greatest blessings came through situations I never understood at the time.
There were moments when I asked questions.
There were seasons when I waited.
There were prayers that seemed delayed.
Yet today, I can see His loving hand guiding every step.
His love truly is beyond comprehension.
Growing in Love Every Day
One beautiful truth about our relationship with Christ is that love grows.
Just as a healthy friendship becomes stronger with time, our walk with God becomes deeper as we experience His faithfulness.
The more we know Him, the more we love Him.
The more we understand His mercy, the more grateful we become.
The more we witness His grace, the more naturally worship flows from our hearts.
That is why the song declares,
“My love for You is growing stronger day by day.”
Christian maturity is not simply about acquiring more knowledge.
It is about falling more deeply in love with Jesus.
A believer who truly knows Christ cannot remain unchanged.
Our priorities begin to change.
Our desires begin to change.
Our words begin to change.
Our hearts begin to resemble the One we worship.
This daily growth is one of the greatest miracles of God’s grace.
Gratitude: The Language of Heaven
The chorus of “Wake to Tell You” is beautifully simple:
“Thank You Jesus for Your love.
My Darling Lord, I give You praise today.”
Sometimes we think worship must be complicated.
We believe we need impressive words or extraordinary experiences before we can praise God.
But genuine worship often begins with two simple words:
Thank You.
Those words carry incredible power.
Thank You for waking me this morning.
Thank You for protecting my family.
Thank You for providing for my needs.
Thank You for forgiving my failures.
Thank You for loving me when I felt unworthy.
A grateful heart sees miracles that others overlook.
Every breath becomes a gift.
Every sunrise becomes a blessing.
Every opportunity becomes evidence of God’s kindness.
Gratitude transforms ordinary moments into holy moments.
It shifts our attention away from what we lack and reminds us of everything God has already done.
That is the spirit behind this song.
It is a song of thanksgiving before it is anything else.
Nothing Can Separate Us from His Love
The second verse proclaims one of the greatest promises found in Scripture:
“No separation from Your love.
My destiny is written by Your love.
No height nor depth nor power
Can separate me from Your love.”
These words echo the powerful assurance found in Romans chapter eight.
Life will always present challenges.
There will be moments of disappointment.
There will be seasons of uncertainty.
There will be battles we never expected.
But there is one truth that never changes:
Nothing has the authority to separate God’s children from His love.
Not failure.
Not sickness.
Not fear.
Not rejection.
Not delay.
Not spiritual attacks.
Not the opinions of people.
The love of Christ remains stronger than every storm we face.
That promise gives believers courage to keep moving forward.
It reminds us that our future is not written by our circumstances.
Our destiny is written by God’s love.
Worship Is a Daily Lifestyle
Many people associate worship only with Sunday services or church gatherings. But worship is much bigger than music. Worship is how we live. It is choosing gratitude over complaining. Faith over fear. Forgiveness over bitterness. Love over hatred. Trust over anxiety.
Every morning presents us with a new opportunity to worship God, not only through songs but through the attitude of our hearts.
“Wake to Tell You” is an invitation to make worship a daily habit.
Imagine beginning every morning by saying:
“Lord, before I speak to anyone else, I want to speak to You.”
Those few moments can completely transform the rest of the day.
God’s presence has a remarkable way of replacing fear with peace, confusion with wisdom, and weakness with strength.
The Mission Behind This Song
As Godsfame, my greatest desire is not simply to release songs.
My prayer is that every song becomes a ministry.
I want every lyric to point someone closer to Jesus.
I want every melody to remind someone that God’s grace is still available.
I want every worship experience to encourage believers to trust Him more deeply.
If one discouraged heart finds hope through this song…
If one family begins each morning with thanksgiving…
If one young believer discovers a deeper relationship with Christ…
Then “Wake to Tell You” has fulfilled its purpose.
Music has the power to comfort, encourage, inspire, and heal.
When dedicated to God, it becomes an instrument through which His love reaches hearts across the world.
That is the vision behind every song I write.
A Personal Invitation
As you listen to “Wake to Tell You,” I invite you to make its message your own.
Tomorrow morning, before checking your phone, before opening your emails, before thinking about your responsibilities, take a quiet moment with Jesus.
Tell Him you love Him.
Thank Him for His faithfulness.
Praise Him for His mercy.
Trust Him with your future.
You may be surprised by how differently your day unfolds when it begins in His presence.
My prayer is that this song becomes more than music in your playlist. I pray it becomes part of your morning devotion, your family’s worship, and your personal testimony of God’s unfailing love.
Every sunrise is another reminder that His mercies are new.
Every heartbeat is another reminder that His grace is sufficient.
Every new day is another opportunity to wake and tell Jesus how much we love Him.
And as we do, we can rest in the beautiful assurance that no matter how deeply we love Him, He has always loved us first and He will always love us more.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for supporting the music ministry of Godsfame. May your mornings always begin with worship, your heart remain filled with gratitude, and your life continually reflect the immeasurable love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
